Screen Drama Group: 2010

Just an update on the past 2 or 3 days of location scouting I've been doing. All the pics are available in this Picasa album. The best find of it all is the Blackberry Woods Campsite, just east of Ditchling. The manager (or the lady who was acting as manager while the main one was away) was really friendly and seemed to think that filming wouldn't be a problem at all. Anyway, here's a few photos from different places I visited. You can find them on this google map I've made.

Wall in Iford -

It's on a road so I'm not sure what kind of permissions we would need, but it could work for the 'fence' Dolly & Seb are sitting on at the start of the film. To be honest, there are quite a few little farm gates that are very secluded we could also use, on all the hundreds of little lanes I drove round.

Swanborough Fishing Lake -

Just somewhere kinda cool - lots of flat open ground around the lake. Would need filming permission from the lake owners.

Ditchling Beacon -

For the ELS with Dolly and Seb just tiny figures within the shot. Lots of open, little paths like this. Would need permission from the council I expect to film there, but I don't think this would be a problem. Also, would need to find a way to integrate it with the trees and flatness of Blackberry Woods to make the movement of the characters make sense.

Blackberry Woods Campsite -

Crazy ecclectic little place, and really quiet at this time of year. Also has very minimal traffic noise, and loads of wildlife everywhere (rabbits, pheasants, squirrels, birds, etc...).
